Melting and recycling of waste lead and re-casting in molds
In this method, standing melting furnaces are usually used to melt waste wastes and melt and mold the wastes by applying indirect heat. To prevent the spread of blind dust and air pollutants, traditional dust filters or bag filters must be used.
Production of lead from sulfur concentrate and lead oxide or production of lead ingots from gallons
The direct and main method of producing lead ingots is melting high-grade lead concentrate, along with reducing it with anthracite or coke.
In this method, lead sulfide or oxide concentrate enters the furnace and a sufficient amount of coke is added to it. By applying heat, the lead composition in the concentrate is reduced and converted into molten metal lead. Then, to separate the slag from the molten lead, ammonium chloride is added, and the molten lead is placed at the bottom and the slag at the top due to its higher density. By opening the drain valve, the melt in the furnace flows and is poured into cast iron molds, the slag remains inside the furnace and is drained after the furnace has cooled.
Molded lead ingots are ready for sale. The remaining slag will contain silver.
